The Glen Tay Block Race is a unique small-town race that was first run in 1907! The race course is a 14.7 km loop that starts and ends at the Perth Museum in downtown Perth. The race, which has been held continuously since its reinstatement in 1967, starts at 6 pm on the last Thursday of August and attracts runners from Kingston to Ottawa. The overall record of 44:28 was set in 2024 by Thomas Nobbs of Ottawa and the women’s record of 52:55 was set in 2022 by Michelle Krezonoski. Spend the day visiting Heritage Perth and cap it off with a classic road race!
Please note that runners should aim to finish in 90 minutes or less.
