Napanee Heritage 5K and Kids 1-Miler

Event Details

The Napanee Heritage 5K & Kids 1-Miler is a charity event, which has been held downtown Napanee Ontario, since 2016. The Event offers tech shirts, awards, top finisher medals for both races, top three age category medals, top masters medals, middle-of-the-pack prize, and the opportunity at a cash prize for course records broken.

ThE 5K distance is part of the KRRA RACE SERIES. Series points awarded for this Race are 75 overall, and 15 points for age category.

The Kids 1-Miler is included in the Kingston Kids Race Series.

As well, the Napanee Heritage 5K Race is a partner and first of three running events comprising the Waterside Series. Run this event, the Wolfe Island Classic (5K or 10K), and the Wooly Bully Races (5K or 10K) to receive a very cool and exclusive custom medal. Here is last year’s medal:

Registration

5K runner and walker registration is $50. Registration for the Kids 1-Miler is $18.44, with a limited number of spots.

Race Kit Pick-up

Race Kits can be picked up Friday, June 12th from 3-6pm at the Lennox and Addington County Museum and Archive, 97 Thomas Street East, Napanee ON.

Race Day Kit pick-up (on-site) will be available starting at 645am.

Awards & Prizes

Kids 1 Miler: Awards for Top 3 Female and Top 3 Male athletes (no age categories, max age is 12).

5K Race: Awards for Top 3 Female and Top 3 Male athletes. Top 3 Age Category prizes for 10-and-under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Middle of the Pack Award. Numerous draw prizes available.

Additional Award: $100 cash prize for any Male or Female Athlete who bests the current course record. Current record for Males is 14:52 (Kevin Coffey, 2022). Current record for Females is 16:44 (Anna Workman, 2023).

Course Description

Kids 1-Miler

The morning begins with the Kids 1-Mile Race, which begins and finishes at the museum. After the Start > right on East St. > left on Graham St. E. > left on John St. > left on Thomas St E. > left onto East St. to repeat the loop > straight through on Thomas St E. to the finish.

5K Course

Registration closes Friday June 12th.
