All live Series races will allot the points as detailed below. Typically, a competing runner can tally points to a maximum of SEVEN (7) races. Award recipients are also required to participate in a minimum of one event.

Please keep in mind, in order to keep the KRRA healthy and viable, registrants need to understand refunds cannot be offered. The KRRA is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Revenue generated goes to expenses and community charities.

Series Points System

The KRRA board devised a points system to rank all Race Series participants. The goal of the revamped point system is to encourage “middle-of-the-pack” runners by recognizing their results with more value to their finishes. For example, a 1st place win will no longer score more points than four 5th place finishes. The Race Series has also been re-evaluated to give adjusted values to each race.

KRRA members (as of July 1) accumulate points throughout the year based on results in each race that they have entered, maximum of seven races count. Series awards are presented at the AGM in late November.

Points Awarded

Races are worth 75 or 100 points for the overall win and 15 or 20 points for age group winners. Points are awarded based on finishing positions according to the following table:
